The Queen of Sheba is biblical figure, a queen of a realm of Sheba, which some modern arhceologist place in modern Yemen.

According to Bible, Sheba heard of the great wisdom of Solomon and journeyed to Israel with herbs and spices as gift to the king (I Kings 10). The king tircked her into bed with him. She later gave birth a son, which was not accepted by the critizing elders of the council. She returned to her kingdom with the son Menelik and later established kingdom in Aksum, modern-day Ethiopia.

Royal family of Ethiopia has claimed origin from the Queen of Sheba.
